Sunroom to Sanctuary
One of our favorite projects ever! Once upon a time...this amazing closet was an UNUSED SUNROOM! After years of sharing a small closet with her husband, this client decided to take back the space on the other side of her Master Bedroom and create a sanctuary for her and her beautiful wardrobe. She had the windows closed in, added a makeup vanity, complete with sink, added a jewelry wall, an ironing area and even a TV above the door. The closet extends up to 10 feet, allowing for pull-down rods, which are home to her scarf collection and furs. The island offers drawers for closed storage, along with hooks for belts down the sides. There are shelves that pull-out for easy access holding sweaters and fixed shelves for handbags. Swapping out all the hangers to match gives a clean, uniform look for all the clothing. But, the piece d'resistance has to be the great shoe wall, which includes all three options: cubbies for low and flat heels, flat shelves for boots and slanted shelves with shoe fences for her favorite styles. Her husband's only concern was that she may never leave her closet again!
